PATH to Unveil New Resource at "Breakfast of Innovators"
The Partnership for Advancing Technology in Housing (PATH) will announce a new resource for builders and homeowners at its annual "Breakfast of Innovators" at the 2005 International Builders' Show (IBS) in Orlando, Florida. The breakfast event will be held Friday, January 14, from 7:30 to 9:30 a.m. at the PATH Tutorial Townhouses, a featured demo home developed in partnership with Professional Builder magazine and located in the IBS Reed Communications' Show Village.
In a departure from its Top Ten Technologies format at IBS 2004, PATH will take a more thematic approach to its outreach in 2005, to provide builders with direction in selecting and implementing innovative technologies.
PATH's "Breakfast of Innovators" is open to all housing industry professionals and media representatives. Officials from the Department of Housing and Urban Development will invite visitors to learn about the more than 20 PATH-profiled technologies integrated into the PATH Tutorial Townhouses, which will be open daily throughout the show. The townhouses will be the only demonstration homes at IBS to give visitors a unique opportunity to see both the finished product and the behind-the-scenes technology. Guests will enter through an unfinished unit with exposed building products, and then tour a completed second home. The self-guided tutorial will allow visitors a before-and-after perspective of the integration of building systems and technologies.
