Top Ten for Remodelers: New Release
PATH has released its list of
Top Ten Remodeling Technologies for 2007, and there's something to improve almost every area of the home. All of the Top Ten are resource efficient -- read "green" -- and most can dramatically improve a home's energy efficiency.
PATH Partner Project: Mold-Safe Model Home
The first-ever
Mold-Safe Model Home opened on September 14 with an event for the New Hampshire chapter of the American Institute of Architects. A PATH Partner project, the 3,000-square-foot, two-story lakeside home in Chesterfield, N.H., is a showcase for builders, manufacturers, and consumers interested in preventing mold growth in homes. To demonstrate that concept, PATH Manufacturing Partners
CertainTeed,
Georgia-Pacific,
Typar/Fiberweb,
Wastewater Alternatives, and
Whirlpool joined with PATH Builder Partner
Courtlan Construction to incorporate the best in moisture-resistant building technologies and techniques.
Concept Home Omaha Wins Green Building Award
In July,
PATH Concept Home received a
Green Building Award from the Flatwater Chapter of the U.S. Green Building Council (USGBC) after the home was certified by the Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) for Homes Program. The PATH Concept Home Omaha design meets all the requirements for sustainability for multiple programs, including LEED for Homes, ENERGY STAR™, Environments For Living®, and the National Association of Home Builders (NAHB) Green Building Guidelines.
